miller lite vs. bud lite = nobody wins

before i dig my claws into this topic, i'd like to point out that miller the company decided to spell it, "lite," instead of, "light." so don't blame me.

i overheard a convo the other day between two dudes debating which beer was better, miller lite or bud light. here's the thing dudes, they both lose. there's no way anyone can claim that either of these two beers are the best beer in existence. it's just not possible.

just look at the vast market of beers. there's so much goddamn beer out there, you can't even name them all. it is impossible to believe that, given the enormous amount of competition, no beer out there tastes better than miller lite or bud light. and that's what i'm talking about here, is best tasting beer. cuz in the end beer is a beverage and when we all pour a beverage into a glass, what we're really hoping for is the best tasting beverage we can get our hands on.

miller lite and bud light serve their purpose and i get it. they have less calories than most major market beers and beer drinking can be a fattening activity. these two beers give you an option to cut a few calories out of the routine. and for light beers, both are bearable. i personally don't think there's anything gross about either beer... i just know that's not as good as it gets.

and you can drink more miller lites and bud lights in a night. if you're really gonna get your drink on, and you're just gonna chug anyways, you're not really drinking for flavor, so go ahead, drink the light stuff. i get that.

also, in many places, miller lite and bug light happen to be the beers selected for special pricing. bars are an expensive habit so i get that as well.... save some calories and some loot in the process.

but if you're drinking either of these beers, fess up to the fact that you're sacrificing flavor for some other benefit. i'm not gonna mock you for chasing other benefits like light calories and cheaper prices.. but in return i ask that you drop that argument that just because it's the beer you choose to drink, it's gotta be the best beer in the world.

and to say one is waaaay better than the other is ridiculous. i've drank both. they're damn near the same thing. this is just tribe mentality on a ridiculous level. really all the bud light and miller lite drinkers of the world should just hug it out and realize they're in the same tribe.

and i'm not hating on that tribe. that tribe's okay with me. i've been part of that tribe. just don't bullshit the rest of us.

and know that no matter what, you'll always be better than the coors light tribe.
